Sending A Message To The Fjords

Heavy Trip (Hevi Reissu), 2018

If you've stumbled upon this page then it must mean you're lost or require my review writing services, hopefully it is the latter. Anyway, I am always on the look out for new and exciting artists to listen to, and having been approached by a few bands, I thought this page would be useful for my readers to get in touch with me. I want to support the industry (especially after all that has happened in 2020) and help get the word out there for up and coming bands. I am open minded to most rock and metal genres, as I want to get a real diversity of bands on the blog. If you didn't know already, I am a music man, deeply passionate about this art form and industry, living and breathing it every day. As a musician, producer and songwriter myself, I understand how difficult it is to make headway in this industry and I'm no stranger to the hard work involved, but I will always remain humble. So, if you're part of a band, PR company or have a band recommendation, send them to me via the links below (or in the side bar), feel free to send a message  my way, I am excited and eagerly anticipating to hear from you!

A quick note, if you attempt to message me on my private Facebook account I am unlikely to see it as it won't get through the Facebook junk filter! Also, it's private, so I wish it to remain that way.

As I do this in my free time, please be patient if I take a while to reply as I may be doing the day job, or slave to the grind job I should say. I will make every effort to get back to you!

Enquiry Requirements & Band Recommendations/Review Request Criteria

General Enquires

For general enquires about the blog, my music or my music production services (mixing mostly), just follow the aforementioned links and I will be happy to help you in the best way that I can.

Review Requests & Band Recommendations

For band recommendations, i.e. bands you would reckon I would enjoy and consider for review, send me a message by following he aforementioned links above. As I stated in my opening introduction, I am open to all rock and metal genres on the blog (this is mainly to fit with the overall theme and readership of the blog). Please be aware that I will consider all band recommendations carefully, and sometimes things just don't float your boat so to speak, so please don't be disheartened if I don't share your opinion on your favourite band.

On a side note; I am also open to other genres and I'm always looking for new music recommendations to vary up my Spotify.

For review requests, this works in the same way as band recommendations but for it to be considered as a formal review request, I would need a few things from you, which are usually all contained in an EPK (Electronic Press Kit). These are;

I. Music - I don't mind if you send me a full discography, just make it explicitly clear which release is your most recent.

II. Band photos - not essential but always desired, if you have one good live shot or a proper band/artist photograph they give the reviews a lot more of a professional look, as well as make you look badass.

III. Background Information - A band bio or member bios, anything that tells me about you and why you're writing the music that you are. By working it in I can make it a more engaging read and really get your band's personality across.

IV. Social Media Links - Something I am beginning to get into the habit of it putting social media links up. This way if someone from Australia stumbles across the review I have written for you then they know where to find you!

It's all common sense really but it doesn't hurt to clarify now and again. Review requests are taken seriously, and will go under careful consideration. Once I have written a review for your release it will be shared across all my relevant social media accounts.

Disclaimer: I WILL NOT tolerate abusive, discriminatory or prejudicial language. If I receive any of these you will be immediately blocked.
